     While serving as Consul of Muhammadiyah , Sutan Mansur also open and lead Kulliyah Muballighin al - Muhammadiyah in Padang Panjang , where preachers develop top level .      In Congress Masjumi 1952 , he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Shura Masjumi Center . After the 1955 elections , he was elected as a member of the Central Indonesian National Committee ( KNIP ) and members of the Constituent Masjumi , since the Constituent stand until dissolved by president Sukarno . 1958 when it broke PRRI ( Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Indonesia ) in Padang , he was in the middle of them because based on his dislike of the PKI and Sukarno 's dictatorship , despite the role it plays in the throes of recognition itself is not too big .
     AR Sutan Mansur was elected as Chairman of the Executive Board of Muhammadiyah congress in two periods . Muhammadiyah Congress to - 32 in Banyumas Purwokerto 1953 established him as the chairman of Muhammadiyah PB 1953-1956 period . Therefore , he had to move to Yogyakarta .
